POSITION: LOAN OPERATIONS CLERK/PROCESSOR
REPORTS TO: LOAN OPERATIONS MANAGER/PERRY BRANCH
SUPERVISES: NONE
FLSA STATUS: HOURLY NON-EXEMPT
SUMMARY: RESPONSIBLE FOR ASSIGNED BACK-OFFICE OPERATIONAL TASKS WITHIN CERTAIN TIME FRAMES ON A DAILY BASIS. Assembles proper loan documentation for loan packages. Compiles and prepares data needed to process loan request; assembles and verifies loan documents for accuracy.
job requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good understanding of loan application policies and procedures, as well as documentation required by underwriters and government agencies when needed.
- 3-5 years of banking experience, preferably in loan processing.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well with others in a close environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Basic experience, knowledge, and training in all the Bank’s operational, deposit and lending activities and terminology.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
- Recognize and adhere to guidelines provided for time sensitive functions being performed.
- Basic typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
- Contribute to the fulfillment of the department and Bank’s objectives and goals.
SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains financial institution loan records. Processes manual transactions.
- Processes paperwork for payments or fees, and to change loan ownership; handles change of address notifications for the financial institution.
- Maintains and sets up files on each loan and ensures that the information is complete and accurate before submitting it to the Loan Officer for approval.
- Image and maintain loans.
- Answers telephone and assist customers with routine inquiries regarding payoffs, changes of ownership, note modifications, beneficiaries, and other loan details.
- Assists Loan Operations Manager with other duties as assigned.
- Provides assistance to the loan officer and staff. Prepares loans including updating loan data in the financial institutions computers and assembling of documentation for customer loans. Closes loans and disburses proceeds.
- Ensures that loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates and other relevant data.
- Assembles necessary loan information (credit reports, titles, etc.) and verifies accuracy of loan documentation.
- Assists in research needed to reconcile internal loan accounts.
- Performs a variety of clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental procedures.

- Participates in required annual BSA/AML training.
- Complies with BSA/AML policies and procedures including identifying and reporting suspicious activity and other job specific duties related to BSA.

POSITION: CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
REPORTS TO: BRANCH MANAGER/FORT VALLEY BRANCH SUPERVISES: NONE
FLSA STATUS: HOURLY NON-EXEMPT
SUMMARY: Provides value added support to Branch Management. Provides a complete range of customer services at the financial institution.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of job-related experience in a financial institution
- Proficient computer skills
- Experienced in teller functions a plus
- Good understanding of financial institution products and services
- Good interpersonal communication and computer skills
- Some knowledge of loan processes
- Ability to complete multiple assignments with little to no supervision
SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provides a complete range of customer services including opening new accounts and maintenance to existing accounts
- Will assist loan officers and staff
- Performs a variety of clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental procedures
- Performs administrative tasks for Manager and others as assigned
- Assists other areas of the financial institution when appropriate
- Provides efficient and courteous customer service, cross-marketing products and services to generate new business
- Fills in as “teller” when needed
- Assists in answering the telephone and transferring calls to the appropriate department
- Prepares paperwork and assists customers in the signing of documents to process all accounts
- Establishes retirement accounts for customers
- Assists with safe deposit box services
- Contributes to the fulfillment of branch and Bank objectives and goals
- Performs other duties as assigned
